Police: Youngstown man bloodied, dragged from vehicle during drug deal
A 60-year-old Youngstown man was allegedly beaten and dragged from his vehicle on Tuesday morning.
According to the report, the victim went to an abandoned house near Eddie Street and North Hazelwood around 12:30 a.m.
Police say the victim went to the abandoned home to buy drugs when three men dragged him from his vehicle and beat him severely.
According to the report, the victim was dragged down the driveway before the men got in his car and took off.
Reports say the victim told officers he could show them where the beating occurred but was confused and didn't know where he was.
Police say the victim was covered in blood and barefoot when they arrived.
The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown and was treated by the trauma unit because of the extent of his injuries.
Police say the man is in stable condition.
The stolen vehicle was a black 2007 Chrysler 300 that belonged to the victim's deceased mother.
