The 15th annual Valley Legacy Awards honored philanthropic seniors in Youngstown on Wednesday. 

There were six award recipients out of 17 nominees.

Keith E. Bowser of Warren,  Leo H. Connelly, Jr. of Youngstown and Trudie Rose-McCoy of North Jackson received the Outstanding Senior Award for Community Achievement. 

Joyce Brooks of Canfield won the Outstanding Senior Award for Professional Excellence. 

Shirley Millerleile of Girard and Moses Murphy of Poland took home the honors for Outstanding Senior Advocate. 

The event was emceed by 21 News' own Leslie Barrett. 

The event also honored Charles Darling with the Cliff C. and Lillie W. Johnson Award for Time Service to the Community. His dear friend Tom Copeland accepted the award on his behalf.
