Tshiebwe & Culver receive Big 12 preseason accolades

West Virginia freshman Oscar Tshiebwe and former Warren Harding product Derek Culver received preseason accolades in the Big 12.

Tshiebwe, a former Kennedy Catholic product was named the Preseason Freshman of the Year and Culver received Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Culver was named to the All-Big 12 Second team last season. He started 14 of 26 games, averaging 11 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Tshiebwe, led Kennedy Catholic to 27-3 record last season and the 6A state championship.

The Mountaineers play Youngstown State at the Covelli Centre on Saturday, December 21.
