Brookfield fire that damaged two homes being investigated as arson
The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire that damaged two homes in Brookfield as arson.
The fire broke out on the porch of a home on the 8200 block of Roberts Street just before 11 pm Monday and then spread to a neighboring home.
A representative from the State Fire Marshal's office says the fire was intentionally set on the southeast exterior corner of the home.
Brookfield Fire Chief David Masirovits says the homes were vacant at the time of the fire.
No one was hurt in the blaze.
A reward up to $5,000 through the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is being offered for any information on the fire.
