Report: East High coach punched by a player
Youngstown police are reporting that an East High School football player allegedly punched East High's head coach several times during last Friday's game against Chaney.
After being kicked out of the game, the head coach tried to speak with the player about an incident on the field, according to a police report which has redacted the player's name.
The player became angry and allegedly struck coach Brian Marrow with a closed fist as coaching staff attempted to separate the player and coach.
The coach had injuries to his left eye, and his glasses were broken.
A spokesperson for the Youngstown City School District tells 21 News that the player faces possible discipline.
The Chaney Cowboys won the game 27-0.
