Youngstown man sentenced for raping teen
A Youngstown man was in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday for a sentencing hearing following a plea deal.
Charles E. Prunier Sr., 39, of Alden Avenue, was sentenced to eight years in prison for the rape of a teenage girl.
Prosecutors said Prunier repeatedly assaulted a teen girl over the course of several months.
He was facing seven charges of rape and seven charges of sexual battery.
In a plea deal, Prunier pleaded guilty to one count of rape, and the remaining 13 charges were dropped.
He will serve eight years in prison with 251 days credited and have to register as a tier-three sex offender.
