Salem man arraigned on charges of sexual imposition
A Salem man was arraigned on Tuesday.
Gerald Yerkey pleaded not guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition.
According to the indictment, Yerkey had sexual contact with a family member who is substantially impaired due to a mental condition.
He also allegedly knew about the victim's condition.
Yerkey faces fourth-degree felony charges, which can result in a prison sentence from six to 18 months and fines up to $5,000.
