The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce held it's Annual Dinner Wednesday at the Park Inn by Radisson in West Middlesex.

Three hundred fifty people attended the event where Gary Hinkson, Hermitage City Manager, and David Tomko and the Coaching Staff of the Sharon Robotics Teams were honored for their contributions to the area.

The Chamber's Executive Director announced a new program they plan to launch targeting the younger people in the Shenango Valley called 'Latte with a Leader.'

"Every other month, they (young people) will be meeting with a leader in the community for coffee in the morning where they can ask one-on-one questions. Very casual setting and really connect to our community," said Moreira.

The organization also highlighted the importance of the "Rising Rust Belt" event that was held in October.

They say "Rising Rust Belt" will help bring more of a focus on the younger people in the community in 2020.
