A Warren man has pleaded not guilty after he was arrested for allegedly firing shots as children were getting off a school bus.
Allante Luckie Jones, 23, was arraigned Friday on charges of tampering with evidence and discharging a firearm with city limits.
Jones was arrested Thursday afternoon after police investigated several reports that someone had fired six or seven gunshots in the area of the Stonegate Place apartments on Robert Avenue NW.
One witness told dispatchers that the shooting took place as a school bus was dropping off students in the area and that the suspect tried to get on the bus.
After a foot chase, police arrested Jones and recovered an AR-15 type rifle and two shell casings.
No one was injured but police found bullet holes in a car, and around an apartment door.
The next court hearing for Jones is scheduled for November 18.
