A Canfield woman has been indicted on one count of sexual battery.

According to the indictment, the Grand Jurors of Mahoning County found that 61-year-old Kim Harbison allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with an inmate at the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center in Youngstown.

The indictment states that Harbison did engage in sexual conduct with the victim while he was confined at the detention facility and that the offender was an employee of that detention facility.

Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Steve Yacavone confirmed that Harbison was an employee at the facility.

Federal court records list Harbison as an administrative clerk at the facility one time.

Yacavone told 21 News that Harbison is no longer an employee of the prison.

According to the indictment, the incident occurred on or about June 20, 2019.

Harbison was booked at the Mahoning County Jail Thursday but was released the same day.

She is scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
