November is the busiest time of the year for the Second Harvest Food Bank, 21 News went behind the scenes today for a Food Bank Frenzy.

Employees and volunteers have to make sure that the 150 food pantries they partner with can fulfill the more than 13,000 requests for food assistance they get each week.

"November is our busiest month," said Tom Doyle, operations manager at Second Harvest Food Bank, "We'll probably do a million pounds this year that we'll distribute in November alone."

The food bank collects fresh produce, canned goods and staples like peanut butter in warehouses to distribute to Mahoning, Columbiana, and Trumbull counties.

More than 10,000,000 pounds of food goes through Second Harvest every year.
