Gas detectors, dolls for kids in distress given to Warren City Fire Department
The Warren City Fire Department has received life-saving tools to help in emergencies.
Trumbull Moose Lodge 186 presented the department with two multi-function gas detectors and a dozen "Tommy Moose" plush dolls for children crews encounter that have suffered distress during a fire.
The gas detectors were a need and are crucial instruments used by the fire station to find carbon monoxide inside homes and businesses.
"The need came up from the fire department. We said, let's go for it, and we're very happy and pleased to be able to use our community service money to help out the Warren Fire Department and the citizens of Warren, "said Randy Seiple of Trumbull Moose Lodge 186.
The gas detectors cost about $2,300 each.
The department said that it is thankful to have organizations in the community willing to donate these essential tools.
