The Springfield football team lost Anna, 48-14, in the Division VI State Championship game.

The Tigers fell behind 28-7 in the second quarter and scored to cut the deficit to 28-14 at the half.

A pick-six by the Rockets on the Tiger's first possession in the third quarter extended the lead to 34-14.

Unfortunately, the turnover bug caught up to the Tigers. They surrendered 20 points on four turnovers.

Tigers sophomore quarterback Beau Brungard was 17-35 for 213 yards and two touchdowns.

Springfield ends the season with their first loss at 14-1.

Anna wins their first state football championship.
