A record-setting January day: The Valley saw a high of 70 degrees on Saturday, and even though we had some rain, people still got out to enjoy it.

"It's very warm and very odd. But also awesome," said one man, who was out walking his dog.

Dozens hit the trails at Mill Creek MetroParks. A lot of them didn't seem to miss the snow.

"It's definitely better than the snow. This is just the perfect weather to come out here and enjoy; take a walk, maybe a bike ride or exercise," Alex Scott said.

Others hit the driving range at Parto's Golf Learning Center in Youngstown along Route 616.

Kyle Renshaw moved to the Valley from South Carolina and said he wasn't expecting this in January.

"I'm not going to lie. When I came up here, I thought the winters were going to be like 20 or 10 degrees, but I'm sitting outside, and it's 70 degrees out, so figured we would go golfing."

Others even fired up the grill: a sight and a smell reminding us that summer barbeques are still months away.
