Officials: 2-year-old filmed while using vape device in Pennsylvania
Officials in Pennsylvania are investigating after two teens allegedly allowed a 2-year-old child to use a vaping device while the incident was filmed on camera.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 17 year old was babysitting the child in St. Clair Township, Westmoreland County, while another 18 year old was there. The child took the vaping device from a nightstand and started to use it while one or both of them recorded the video, police say.
The video was later posted to Snapchat.
The device is believed to have 3% nicotine but not THC. Police say the child could be seen coughing after inhaling from the device.
The parents were not aware of the incident. It was reported to children and youth services.
Charges of endangering the welfare of children are pending against the two.
