The first of two events is scheduled Wednesday morning to give businesses a chance to find out how their companies could benefit from plans to bring a new electric pickup truck manufacturer to the valley.
As Lordstown Motors Corporation prepares to launch its manufacturing facility in the former GM Assembly Plant later this year, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber plans two events for local and regional suppliers to connect directly with the opportunities the project will generate.
LMC executives will provide a company overview and highlight current and future opportunities to do business with Lordstown Motors.
Attendees are encouraged to register at regionalchamber.com/events for the opportunity that most closely aligns with their service area:
For plant contractors and service providers
For vehicle components and production
Companies will be asked to complete a procurement form detailing their capabilities and relevant experience. This information will be included in a comprehensive procurement guide that will be delivered to Lordstown Motors following the events.
LMC's Chief Production Officer Rich Schmidt noted that regional suppliers would be an essential part of the company's mission to develop Lordstown into an epicenter of electric vehicle manufacturing.
