Patient at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren tests positive for coronavirus

Mercy Health St. Joseph Warren Hospital announced that they cared for a patient that has tested positive for the coronavirus.

That patient is still being treated at St. Joseph.

According to a release from the organization, the hospital followed safety protocols from the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health to minimize exposure to other patients and associates.

The organization says they followed CDC protocol, and St. Joseph Warren Hospital remains a safe place to seek care.

Mercy Health says visitor restrictions and other clinical information will be available shortly.
