Shots fired after neighbor dispute in Sharon

Police in Sharon have arrested a man they say allegedly fired several gunshots in the air to intimidate his neighbors.

John Domascieno, 27, is charged with making terroristic threats with intent to terrorize, making terroristic threats causing a public inconvenience and reckless endangerment.

According to the criminal complaint report, on Sunday at around 9 p.m. officers heard approximately 5 gunshots in the area of the 200 block of Malleable Street.

Police say the shots continued intermittently over about an hour.

The gunshots were eventually traced to a residence on the 200 block of Mesabi Street belonging to Domascieno.

Police say Domascieno came outside of his home multiple times and began yelling threatening statements at his neighbors across the street.

According to the criminal complaint, Domascieno had some type of feud with the neighbors and was yelling things such as, "having more ammo and not caring if the police were present or not." 

Survalience officers say the neighbors did strike up a conversation with the neighbors and was heard bragging about discharging his firearm and that it was directed at the neighbors across the street.

A search warrant was then conducted at the residence resulting in the recovery of a handgun and shell casings.

Two other men were detained at the scene but police say they were not charged.

Domascieno told police that his feud with the neighbors caused him to fear for his safety and in an attempt to intimidate them fired his gun to prevent any sort of retaliation from the neighbors, according to the criminal complaint.

Domascieno was arrested is being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

No injuries were reported as a result of the gunshots.
