NLMK USA has sent a new proposal to the United Steel Workers union in efforts to reach an agreement.
According to the release, USW leaders have not been available to negotiate from November 13 to December 11.
NLMK says they sent the offer to their employees via email for them so that they did not go nearly a month without any progress.
The release says that several changes were made in the offer. An incentive system has been included on the offer that could let employees get higher wages and they have made changes to the High Deductible Healthcare Plan.
The company said they have also made changes to their personal day policy.
NLMK says they are ready to meet with the USW if they choose to negotiate at an earlier date.
