Protests turning violent Wednesday on Capitol Hill with some of that crowd traveling from the Mahoning Valley.

"I was a part of the initial tip of the spear that went in all the way up to the door," said Kristopher Davanzo, of Champion. "I was at the door and we made it to the first exterior doorway and into the second interior doorway. The doors were open and the cops were there and it was a push and shove."

Protestors saying they observed mostly peaceful demonstrations but saw some violence when they were outside of the Capitol.

"Nobody was armed, nobody," said Christopher Doan, of Southington. "There were no firearms, nothing at all. We had pepper spray."

Protesters saying they chose to participate in President Trump's 'Save America' rally because of their concerns over election fraud- concerns that have been proven unsubstantiated by the Justice Department, Secretary's of State of the Supreme Court.

Other protestors also telling 21 News they believe the violent crowd at the Capitol were not present at President Trump's rally.

"I wanted to be in, be able to take pictures and say this is what happened," Doan said.

Other supporters 21 News spoke with were on several buses that went from Austintown to D.C. and traveled back to the Mahoning Valley Wednesday night. They say the protests that broke out will just make the MAGA community stronger.
