A local healthcare provider has a new mobile unit to help with the COVID vaccine rollout.
Primary Health Network now has a COVID-19 Mobile Health Unit.
The Sharon healthcare provider will soon be rolling the unit out to test and vaccinate people in the community.
They say testing and vaccinations need to be accessible, available and adaptable and coronavirus grants made it possible to purchase the unit that can do all three.
"We purchased the unit with the idea that would allow us to accomplish all three things. To make testing and vaccine accessible to the community, available to the community and to be available to adapt and move to areas in the community where testing and vaccines are needed," said Dr. George Garrow, Primary Health Network Chief Medical Officer.
Primary Health Network hopes to have the unit on the road in the next couple of weeks.
