SHARON, Pa. -  The Sharon, Pennsylvania man facing charges after the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol is prohibited from traveling to Washington D.C. and has been ordered to avoid people who took part in the intrusion.

Those are just two of the conditions set forth by a federal judge for Matthew Perna during a court appearance on Tuesday.

Investigators believe it was Perna and two other people who can be seen in an 8-minute video posted to Perna's Facebook account, where the three described their experiences in Washington DC at the Capitol.

A Facebook Friend of Perna saw the posted video and contacted the FBI.

Perna, who declined to speak with 21 News, told investigators he attended President Trump's rally and went to the Capitol building, claiming he was pushed into the building by the crowd and had not intended to enter the building.

Perna has been charged with Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds.

Freed on bond,  a magistrate also ordered Perna to turn over his passport to the FBI and ordered that Perna only allowed to leave Western Pennsylvania for court appearances in Washington or to meet with his lawyer in Boardman.

He is prohibited from entering the U.S. District Court building in Pittsburgh.

Court documents say a gun has been removed from Perna’s home.
