Pedestrian walking on Market Street in Boardman hit by car

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-skip crash that occurred on Market Street in Boardman Township.

At 6:58 p.m. Friday a female pedestrian was crossing Market Street at the intersection of Shields and Indianola Road.

As the pedestrian was crossing the road walking west, a southbound vehicle struck her.

The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle is described as a newer model black Chevrolet Impala or Malibu.

The driver is described as a black female with a thin build and shoulder-length black hair.

Security video footage of this incident has been obtained and is being reviewed.
