A suspect has been named and now the man is now wanted for the Tuesday evening shooting of a New Castle man.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the homicide of Lamar Johnson of New Castle.
Johnson was found deceased outside a home on the 300 block of Grandview Avenue in Union Township shorty before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the investigation revealed that Johnson was shot and killed by Markeace Devant-Perkins, 25, of New Castle.
The Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office approved an arrest warrant for Perkins.
Charges filed against Perkins include criminal homicide, persons not to possess or use firearms, and prohibited offensive weapons.
Police say Perkins was transported from the scene by Khyana Johnson, 33, of New Castle.
No charges have been filed against Johnson but she is wanted for questioning in regards to the incident.

There is a city-wide prayer vigil planned for Johnson at 6 p.m on Friday, Feb. 19 at Ebenezer Church of God in New Castle.
