Nearly 3,000 without power in Mahoning County

Nearly 3,000 people are without power in Mahoning County.

As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, FirstEnergy reports there are 2,959 people without lights in the county. There are 2,722 outages in Youngstown and 237 outages in Boardman.

According to FirstEnergy, the power outage was caused by a vehicle accident. A vehicle hit a pole and brought down primary power lines. 

The estimated restoration time is Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
