A New Waterford church is sponsoring a community outreach event to distribute school supplies, clothing and food.
Abundant Life Fellowship, located at 46469 State Route 46, will hold the 13th annual August Overflow event from noon to 4 p.m. on August 7th.
Senior Pastor Jeff Schoch said August Overflow will be back to full on-site activities following last year's drive thru event.
Activities at the event include games, bounce-houses, train rides, in-house dining and the distribution of school supplies, clothing and food.
Students eligible for the supply distribution must be from the Crestview, Columbiana, Heartland Christian, Leetonia, East Palestine, Lisbon, or Beaver Local. Home-schooled students and those who are part of East Fairfield United Methodist, Middleton Friends Meeting, New Waterford United Methodist and Zion Lutheran are also eligible.
Families will register for school supplies when they arrive on a first-served basis.
The event usually gives supplies to more than 300 students.
Those attending the distribution should bring their student's most recent report card and a driver's license for proof of residency. Students do not have to be present to get supplies.
