2021 Columbiana County Fair: What you need to know to go

With people longing to get outside and have some fun this summer, it would be hard to beat the deal offered at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds this week.

The annual fair, curtailed last year by the pandemic, returns with lots of free grandstand events featuring noisy machines, fast horses, and powerful bulls.

In addition to the rides, tasty food, and games, there's music on the midway stage.

Don't forget the livestock shows and baking contests as well.

The price of admission ranging from $8 to $10 includes rides at the fair.  Kids under three and members of the military get in free every day.

There are special days offering free admission to bikers, senior citizens, and veterans.

GENERAL ADMISSION: (Prices include rides)

Monday - Preview Night (Gates open at 3 pm) $6.00 NO RIDES

Tuesday - Friday (Before 3pm) $8.00 (After 3pm) $10.00

All-day Saturday & Sunday $10.00

SPECIAL PROMOTIONS:

DAILY - All children under 3 years of age are admitted free.

DAILY - Servicemen and women presented in full uniform will be admitted free.

TUESDAY - ALL DAY Senior Citizens (Age 62 and older) and Veterans presenting proper ID will be admitted free of charge.

TUESDAY - Bike Night - Free admission for the rider; passenger pays gate admission.

Grandstand reserved seat tickets are on sale at the office near the Archway Gate on Lee Avenue until three hours prior to the events and at the souvenir shop by the grandstand until sold out.

1. Merge onto OH-11 N.

Parking

Public parking lots are located on the Northside of Saltwell Road and accessed from St Rt 45.  A free shuttle wagon service will pick up fairgoers in the parking lot and deliver you to your choice of gates.  Enter the fairgrounds by walking over the Bow String Bridge or through the gate near the lower midway near the Junior Fair animal barns, show rings, and office.

Limited parking is also available at Gate A off Lee Ave. However, this area is primarily used for handicapped parking and pass holders.

No public access is available on the West side of the fairgrounds at the Vista Gate, which is reserved for concession and exhibitor pass holders only.

No public access is available as you enter Gate B off Lee Ave., which is reserved for buyers and exhibitors.  This gate will be closed at times to provide safe traffic patterns for events.
