Boys Soccer: Boardman remains undefeated on young season

With a 3-0 win Thursday night against Mooney, the Boardman boys soccer team is still undefeated on the new season. 

It was a scoreless match once halftime hit, but the goals soon followed. The Spartans got on the board when Cole Congson scored two minutes and 11 seconds into the second half. He wasn't done there, following his first goal up with another about two minutes later. 

The game's final goal was scored by Carter Mascola off a corner kick from Congson. Boardman GK Carson Essad recorded five saves, including a double-effort diving play in the second half. 

Boardman improves to a record of 3-0, while Mooney falls in its second game of the year to a record of 0-1-1 respectively.
