Cross Country Suburban League - Week 3 Results

Week 3 of the Suburban League Cross Country races are underway with another three locations hosting. On Tuesday, Champion and Poland hosted, while Columbiana will host another race Wednesday. 

From Poland Township Park, the girls varsity winner was Lowellville's Sophia Yon, with a time of 20.57. Yon also finished first last week at the Niles race. Hannah Cunningham of East Palestine came in second place with a time of 22.50, while Poland's Ellen Etheridge placed third with a time of 23.14

From the team side, East Palestine placed first with 32 points, followed by host-team Poland with 41, while Canfield placed third with 51 points. 

On the boys side, Heartland Christian's Giovanni Citriglia finished the 5K with a time of 19.52 to take first place. Canfield's Griffin Littler placed second with a time of 20.12 and was followed up by teammate Scotty Ceawford with a pace of 20.22. 

As a team, host Poland tallied the lowest score of 37 points, followed Canfield with 40 and Heartland Christian with 46.
