Things are getting scary at one of the largest haunted attractions in the Mahoning Valley, Fear Forest in Lordstown, as they kickoff one of their busiest weekends of the season.

"The Halloween season is the #2 money making holiday besides Christmas," said Alan Tura, Owner of Fear Forest. "People like to come out, they like to get scared and it just kind of brings you back to when you were younger."

Fear Forest is one of the many places to stop by to celebrate the Halloween weekend in the Valley. The 60-acre property features several exhibits to give you and your friends a scare you won't forget.

"We have a very popular haunted house called the Insanitarium," Tura explained. "We also have the Psychopath Trail and the Forbidden Cornfield."

Tura described every exhibit at Fear Forest is linked together as one comprehensive story. "There's only one way in and one way out- if you can get out," Tura spookily said.

"COVID-19's getting a little bit more behind us and people are getting vaccinated, so it's making it a little easier to operate this year," Tura said.

The spooky attraction recommends visitors wear masks and social distance.

This is the last weekend of the popular haunted attraction for the season. Tickets start at $12.00. Visit Fear Forest's website for more information.
