Springfield, Warren JFK both fall in State Semi-Final

Two deep playoff runs for both the Springfield and Warren JFK football teams have come to a close in their respective State Semi-Final games on Saturday.

Springfield fell to Carey in the DIV. VI State Semi-Final by a score of 26-13.

Warren JFK fell short of the mark in DIV. VII against Newark Catholic by a final of 14-7. Each team was looking to get back to the State Championship game, Warren JFK for the second time in as many seasons, and Springfield for the third consecutive season.

The Tigers close the season with a 13-2 record overall, one that brought plenty of highlight-reel type plays with a dynamic offense.

Warren JFK finishes the 2021 campaign with a record of 10-3, and have gone to the Final Four in each of Head Coach Dom Prologo's first two seasons.

Congratulations to both teams for incredible runs in the 2021 OHSAA football tournament.
