West Virginia-based company reaches agreement to sell former East Liverpool pottery
West Virginia-based company, HLC Holdings Inc. reached an agreement to sell the former Hall China Co. property on Anna Street in East Liverpool. The property closed on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
HLC Holdings is the parent company of The Fiesta Tableware Company. President of Fiesta Tableware, Elizabeth McIlvain says the company has not been used as a pottery since March of 2021.
"After re-evaluating our processes and equipment needs, it was more efficient and cost effective to consolidate operations to our Newell, WV headquarters. Being at one location enables us to produce our dinnerware more efficiently so we can distribute it to our customers' tabletops faster," McIlvain said.
McIlvain added that she's happy to have found a buyer who is local to the Newell area, stating that the Six family has "always been interested in the success of [their] community."
NSF Holdings co-owner, Ray Six says he's excited for the development opportunities the new site has to offer.
"It will take a lot more time and effort to convert this old pottery to usable space but we are up to the challenge," Six said.
