Former Boardman athletic director part of forum on Title IX 50th anniversary

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Former Boardman Director of Athletics Denise Gorski is part of a panel tomorrow night in Cleveland celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX.
The event is Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Cleveland State University.
The event will include an educational and thought-provoking sneak peek of ESPN Films’ “37 Words”, a four-part documentary series, chronicling the hard-fought battle of equal rights in education and athletics from award-winning directors Dawn Porter and Nicole Newnham. “37 Words” will premiere June 21 (Parts 1 & 2) and June 28 (Parts 3 & 4) at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
Barb Anthony, CEO of The Northeast Ohio Women’s Sports Alliance, will keynote the evening’s festivities followed by a dynamic discussion with women and Title IX trailblazers, including:
- Tracey Hall Yarbrough – Two-time All-American, OSU Sports Hall of Fame
- Denise Gorski — Director of Athletics (October 2013 to June 2019) Boardman Schools
- Darlene Gordon – Athletic Administrator University of Massachusetts Boston
- Dashara Turner — Cleveland Heights High School student athlete
