One person is dead after a crash early Sunday morning in Youngstown.

The accident happened around 1:00 AM on Market Street near Wayne Avenue.

Police tell 21 News a motorcycle and SUV collided, throwing the motorcyclist from the bike.

The motorcyclist, 27-year-old Cody Harris,  was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the SUV was not injured.

A portion of the road was shut down for several hours while police investigated and removed the motorcycle.

Police are still investigating.
