Niles man convicted of trying to solicit sex from 11-year-old boy

 A 67-year-old Niles man accused of trying to solicit sex from an 11-year-old boy awaits sentencing.

Neil Rossi of Cardigan Street pleaded guilty on Wednesday to attempted importuning, two counts of gross sexual imposition, and attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Wyatt McKay will pass sentence after the completion of a report by the court.

Rossi was indicted after a woman went to the police station claiming that her son had been victimized by Rossi this last summer.
