Protests against Ohio abortion laws to take place throughout Ohio Sunday afternoon
The Ohio Pro-Choice Movement will be hosting a peaceful public sidewalk event throughout the state of Ohio on Sunday, August 7.
The objective of this statewide event is to inform and unite pro-choice individuals from across the state who share the goal of restoring state and federal rights for legal access to abortion and contraceptive care in light of the U.S. Supreme Court's overturning of the Roe v. Wade ruling back in June.
In Youngstown, the event will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Protestors will gather on the public sidewalks in front of the U.S. District Courthouse and will use the public sidewalks to walk to the Chase Building.
Attendees can expect a peaceful, family friendly event including voter registration, candidate information and an opportunity to speak out. Attendees are asked to bring signs, shirts and voices with a message directed towards the goal of restoring abortion access statewide and nationwide.
Water and snacks will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and dress appropriately for the weather and walking, as this event will be taking place rain or shine.
