There's a new COVID-19 vaccine option at the Trumbull County Combined Health District (TCCHD).

According to the CDC, Novavax is a two-dose vaccine regimen, given 3 to 8 weeks apart.

Unlike the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, Novavax is not an MRNA vaccine. The FDA authorized Novavax for emergency use on July 13th. It is not approved for booster doses at this time.

Those interested in getting the Novavax vaccine, or any of the COVID-19 vaccines, will have the opportunity at several clinics this week:

Monday, August 8th:

  • 10:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.
  • Niles SCOPE, 14 E. State St. S.E. in Niles

Tuesday, August 9th:

  • 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
  • Monument of Faith Church of God in Christ, 2165 Highland Ave S.W. in Warren

Thursday, August 11th

The clinics are walk-in with no appointment necessary. For those who would like to speed up their check-in process, COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Record forms are available here. Bring completed forms with you to the clinic.

Anyone receiving a booster dose should bring their vaccine card to their appointment.
