Local artists got the chance to show off their work to the community at the 2nd Annual Niles Art Fest at Stevens Park Saturday morning.

Various types of artists showed up to the event including painters, crafters, basket weavers and even bakers.

Event organizers, Corey Delaratta and Molly Anderson are both artists themselves. They tell 21 News that prior to this festival, there weren't too many opportunities to showcase their pieces publicly.

"That's why I came up with it. Let people come out here and show their artwork and show what they can do creatively. It's great," Delaratta said.

Anyone who felt inspired and wanted to get into art themselves after the show were able to help themselves to free cans of paint courtesy of the Fine Arts Commission of Trumbull County.

The Niles Art Fest is held annually during the first weekend of August.
