North Lima businesses pitch in to help firefighters battling flames at local business

It took more than the help of firefighters from eight departments to battle flames at a Beaver Township business on Wednesday.

Putting out a fire that broke out at Bolt Construction along South Avenue also was aided by a couple of local businesses.

The Beaver Township Fire and Rescue Facebook page included appreciation to Sheetz in North Lima for sending apples, oranges, bananas, and water to feed firefighters at the burning warehouse.

Firefighters also sent out a “Thank You” to the North Lima Pizza Joes for quickly preparing pizza for crews fighting the flames.

In addition to Beaver Township, firefighters from New Springfield, Western Reserve Fire District, Cardinal Joint Fire District, Columbiana, New Waterford, Green Township, and Mahoning County Haz-Mat Team all took part in the effort.
