The man suspected of murdering a mother and daughter in Lowellville has taken his own life, according to investigators.

The Mahoning County Coroner has identified the victims as 25-year-old Catheryn Hudak and her mother, 55-year-old Deborah Hudak.

The Mahoning County Sheriff's Department tells 21 News that 38-year-old Jonathan Crago of Girard shot himself in the Cleveland suburb of Parma late Wednesday.

Police in Lowellville had filed two first degree felony counts of aggravated murder against a Girard man as they following the shooting of two woman at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 300 block of Watson Street in what police describe as a domestic dispute.

Investigators say Crago took his own life as residents of a Parma neighborhood were advised to shelter in place during an incident late Wednesday.

Deborah Hudak was pronounced dead at the scene, while her daughter was transported where she later died by 10 p.m.

A search of local court records show Crago was convicted of possessing cocaine containing fentanyl, and illegal use and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Mahoning County Task Force, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Mahoning County Sheriff's Office and the Coroner's Office are investigating.
