Three in custody after police pursuit through Youngstown, Liberty Township

Three suspects are in custody after a police chase led officers through Youngstown and Liberty Township.

Police sources tell 21 News these suspects were persons of interest to Liberty Police as they were allegedly involved in area thefts.

Police say officers spotted the vehicle suspected to be stolen on Thursday and attempted to stop it but failed. Police spotted the vehicle again early Friday afternoon, pursued it once again, and stopped it on Wilson Avenue after calling for additional units.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was a female suspect who was transporting two male passengers. All three had warrants out for their arrests, and all have been taken into police custody with charges forthcoming.

Police were not able to specify what these charges are at this time.

A second scene was found at the 100 Block of Lansdowne avenue, where police say one of the male suspects jumped out of the vehicle and fled into a nearby home.

Police sources tell us the suspect was apprehended and is currently at the hospital. Police say the suspect had drugs on him, including needles and possible fentanyl.
