Penguin City Beer has announced on Tuesday that the company will be partnering with the Heidelberg Distributing Company in order to expand its marketing reach for Ohio.
Penguin City recently expanded into a new 32,000 square foot warehouse on Federal Street in Downtown Youngstown invested nearly $5 million in renovating the facility turning it into a taproom and showroom, which first opened in July of 2022.
Penguin City Beer first released in 2018. Company owners Aspasia and Richard Bernacki say they are looking forward to reaching more customers in the Ohio market with this new partnership saying that this is "the next move and the right move to make."
"We are so excited to be partnering with Heidelberg and cannot wait to grow the brand here in our on backyard and now go into other Ohio markets. We have been waiting for this moment for quite some time and it's finally here," Aspasia said.
Heidelberg is one of the top beer distributing companies in Ohio and one of the top 20 beer distributors in the United States. Heidelberg General Sales Manager, Paul Gause complemented the Bernackis on the brewery and expressed excitement in the partnership as well.
"Richard and Aspasia have built a wonderful brewery, and we are so happy they put their trust in us to grow the brand alongside them," Gause said.
