Grove City Police plan to charge teen with terroristic threats

Grove City Police plan to charge a 15-year-old male from Grove City for making threats against a student that caused Grove City Area Schools to close Wednesday, January 18. 

Grove City Middle School closed Wednesday after an alleged online threat of a gun being brought to the school. 

According to police, the 15-year-old made threats against another 14-year-old male from Grove City through an online app. The threat referenced shooting him and bringing a gun to school to do so. 

Grove City Police plan to charge the 15-year-old with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. 

The 15-year-old was not detained by authorities and Police were advised to release him into the custody of his parents pending charges. 

A court date has not been scheduled.
