Three Youngstown residents were found dead in Akron after three homicides that occurred Friday morning.

According to a news release from the Summit County Medical Examiner, Akron police were called to Cordova Avenue in Akron just after 8:30 a.m. for two male victims found dead in the area.

The two victims, identified as 25-year-old Inmer Reyes and 31-year-old Victor Varela-Rodriguez, both from Youngstown were reported to be bound and gagged in the road.

About 20 minutes later, a third body was found in a ditch near the 2100 block of Wright Road, also reported to be bound and gagged. This victim was identified as 35-year-old Domingo Castillo-Reyes of Youngstown

Police say all three victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

The suspect was identified as 58-year-old Elias Gudino. Gudino was arrested on Saturday on charges of murder and attempted murder according to Copley Police.

Police say the victims were likely kidnapped and brought to Summit County.

WKYC reports that Gudino was a drug trafficker according to a federal court complaint, with law enforcement receiving information about his drug trafficking dating back to the 1990s.

According to WKYC court documents show Gudino's operations started in Southern Mexico, but expanded into various states in the U.S. including Ohio. Gudino was convicted and sent to prison in 2009 and remained there until 2017.
