A Niles man is behind bars after allegedly not picking up his son from the school bus.
According to the report, 44-year-old Christopher Tyson's son with disabilities was not picked up and was taken back to the transportation office.
Police say a parent or guardian is required to get the child off the bus each day.
Officers went to Tyson's home on Royal Mall Drive and met with him at the front door. Tyson allegedly had no explanation for not getting his son off the bus.
According to the report, this was the third time this same incident occurred. Niles police listed an incident on March 8, 2022, and another on April 13, 2022, where officers had to wake Tyson up to get his child.
The child was picked up by a known adult and got his medication.
