Crash snarls Wick Ave. traffic during Thursday morning rush

Youngstown Police shut down a portion of Wick Avenue following a crash during the Thursday morning commute near Ursuline High School.

Dispatchers were told that someone may have been trapped in a vehicle involved in an accident at Wick and the westbound service road shortly before 8 a.m.

Police arrived to find a mini-van and a car with heavy damage.

No serious injuries were reported. One driver was cited.

As of 8 a.m., roads in the area remained blocked
