Newton Falls residents may hear some explosions in the village Wednesday and Thursday, but the Ohio National Guard is assuring residents that there is no need to panic.
According to a press release, explosives and military hand grenades will be used for training conducted both Wednesday and Thursday at Camp James A. Garfield Military Training Center.
Sounds from the explosions may be heard from farther away than what occurs during normal operations. There will be intermittent explosions and gunfire heard during the annual training season, which typically runs through September.
