The Trumbull County Fair: A comprehensive guide
It's fair time again! Grab the kids and all your friends and enjoy the festivities at this year's Trumbull County Fair!
This year's fair will be held from July 11th to July 16th at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds and features horse races, car races, tractor pulls, and of course all of the fair food, livestock shows, and petting zoos you can handle.
A full schedule of the grandstand events is below:
- Tuesday, July 11 – Harness racing, post times 12:30 & 5:30
- Wednesday, July 12 – 7:00pm - Tuff truck show and ½ car racing presented by Derby Dog
- Thursday, July 13 – 6:00 pm - Auto Racing
BRP Modified Tour Racing Series & RUSH Sportsman Modified Touring Series as well as the 2nd annual Russ King Memorial. There will also be a special presentation of youth racing with their cars on display behind the grandstand and they will all go on the track for two laps behind the pace car. - Friday, July 14 – 6:30pm – OSTPA Truck & Tractor Pulls
Limited Pro Diesel Trucks, Light -Limited Pros Stock Tractors, Two wheel Drive Trucks, Pro Stock Tractors & Pro Stock Semis. There will be an antique tractor parade in front of the grandstand prior to this event to share information about tractors, the club and their members. - Saturday, July 15 – 6:00pm – High Steel Rodeo Bulls & Barrels
High Steel Rodeo is a local rodeo from Heath Davis out of Bloomfield. There is a new attraction this year, the Cowboy Package. The Cowboy Package will be a pit pass that allows you to meet bull riders, barrel racers, rodeo clowns, the stock producer and lets you sit next to the arena in new bleachers rented for this year's event. - Sunday, July 16 – 5:00pm Demo Derby
The Demolition Derby is put on by Derby Dog Productions and will be followed by a fireworks show.
Outside the grandstands, there's also plenty of shows to enjoy:

And the fun doesn't stop on the 16th either, as the fair will host Rockabilly Ruckus for 3 days starting August 11th. The festivities there will include a car show for vehicles 1979 and older, a burnout contest, and open track, pinup contest, charity auction, with live rockabilly music and more. The Fairgrounds are getting some exciting updates, too, after the fairgrounds were awarded a round of American Rescue Plan funds to renovate, upgrade, and install new facilities.
Among the planned updates are bathrooms in the commercial building, a new 4H building with a bathroom and pavilion, a resurfacing of the office parking lot, and new rooves for 4 horse barns and the annex building.
