Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival - Youngstown - Thursday through Sunday

Four days and nights of fun, food, and festivities kick off Thursday night as the 23rd Annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival gets underway at 343 Via Mount Carmel Avenue in Youngstown.

The festival's mission is to promote The Italian Heritage & Culture while assisting with the historic Mt. Carmel parish maintenance.

Admission for adults is $5.  Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.  Parking and shuttle service are free.

There’s a special area for children where they can enjoy basketball, bounce around, and meet Disney’s “Frozen” favorite Elsa.

Raffles include a $5,000 grand raffle, as well as games of chance like blackjack and chuck-a-luck.

Perrenial favorites will include the Man and Woman of the Year, Little Prince and Princess Pageant, and YSU scholarships.

The Morra Tournament, which is a little like the Italian version of paper, scissors, and rock, will take place at 6 p.m. Friday.

Here’s a list of some vendors who’ll be selling their goodies in tents and trailers:
