Seven departments fight barn blaze in Smith Township

Seven different departments fought a barn fire in Smith Township late Friday, according to Sebring police and fire dispatch. 

Responding agencies, including Sebring, Green, Damascus, and Deerfield fire departments, rushed late Friday to W. Middletown Rd. between Smith Goshen Rd and Beloit-Snodes Rd to fight the blaze.

According to a 21 News crew on the scene, The fire appears to have been extinguished by 10:30 pm Friday night.

The barn collapsed and crews tore down the rest.

No one was injured in the blaze, and the fire did not spread to the nearby home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
